Two ways to turn On or Off the firewall in windows 10
windows firewall is a system security program that does not allow any suspicious or harmful files to the computer and it is a pre-installed in every version of windows including windows 10 as default. For any reason, if you have to turn it off or on then here are the steps to follow:-
Option 1:- Turn On/Off firewall using control panel:-
Press and hold the Windows key and hit the letter X (win+x) to access the control panel or control panel in the Search Menu.
Step 1. Type Firewall in the search menu and select windows firewall option.
Step 2. Select the Turn windows firewall on or off from the option of the left side of the screen as shown below:-
Step 3. As you can see down windows 10 has checked the Turn on Windows Firewall option by default. You can turn off the windows firewall and click ok if you want to turn it off or if it is off then you can turn it on.
Option 2:- Turn On or Off Windows 10 Firewall with CMD or Command Prompt:-
Step 1: Press Win + X key together and then select Command Prompt (Admin) to open Windows 10 Command Prompt as administrator. Click Yes to confirm the User Account Control dialog if prompted.
Step 2: In the Command Prompt window you have to type netsh advfirewall set allprofiles state off and hit Enter key. Once it will show OK, Windows Firewall is turned off. To turn it on, type netsh advfirewall set allprofiles state on and hit Enter and it will do the work.
For the most time, Windows 10 turns on the Firewall as a matter of course and advises you each time when it blocks a new app. For system security, you are not recommended to turn off the Windows Firewall. Be that as it may, on the off chance that you have to introduce another third-party hostile to infection software, at that point you may need to turn on Firewall if there should arise an occurrence of software conflicts or just in the event that different guarded software hinder or slow down your PC.
